Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 29, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how SURFThru ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit surfthru.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@surfthru.com.

Information We Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information. The only data we collect is anonymised site traffic data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and only after you provide cookie consent.

Cookies

We use the following cookies on this Site:

  • _ga: Google Analytics. Persists for 2 years. Used to distinguish users.
  • _gid: Google Analytics. Persists for 24 hours. Used to distinguish users.
  • _ga_XXXXXXXX: Google Analytics. Persists for 2 years. Used to persist session state.
  • surfthru_cookie_consent: Our own cookie preference record. Stored in localStorage, not transmitted to any server.

No cookies are set before you provide consent via our cookie banner.

Google Analytics

We use GA4 to understand how visitors use our Site (page views, traffic sources, general geography). This data is anonymised and aggregated. Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate Links

SURFThru does not currently use affiliate links. If we add affiliate relationships in the future, merchant sites may set their own cookies when you click those links. We do not control those cookies and are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party merchants. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains our current status.

Third-Party Links

Our Site links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

GDPR Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your data.
  • Restriction: request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Portability: receive your data in a portable format.
  • Object: object to our processing of your data.

Because we only collect anonymised analytics data and no personal data directly, most of these rights apply to Google's processing of GA4 data. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@surfthru.com or use Google's opt-out tools.

Cookie Consent

A cookie consent banner appears on your first visit. Google Analytics does not load until you click Accept. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer, which clears your saved choice and reloads the page so you can choose again.

Children

This Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Check this page for the current version. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
